ServicesSuper-Midsize Jet Charter

Super-Midsize Jet Charter in Greenfield, IN

A super-midsize jet flies most domestic trips nonstop, seats up to about nine passengers and gives you a cabin you can stand up in. We price it point to point, put every cost in the quote and tell you plainly when a smaller jet would do the job.

What a super-midsize jet gets you

This is the class between a midsize jet and a heavy jet. Common models include the Challenger 350, Citation Longitude and Gulfstream G280. They cruise fast, carry a full group and have the range to cross the country without stopping for fuel.

The hourly rate is higher than a midsize. But on a long trip the math often changes. A smaller jet that needs a fuel stop adds ground time, landing fees and another hour or more to your day. A super-midsize that goes straight through can end up close in total cost, and you get there sooner.

We walk you through that comparison on the phone. If your trip is short, we will point you to Midsize Jet Charter or Light Jet Charter instead. You should pay for the aircraft your trip needs, not more.

What your super-midsize trip includes

Room to stand
Jets in this class usually offer about six feet of headroom and a level floor. You can reach the galley or lavatory standing upright, which counts on a four-hour flight.
Baggage you can reach
The hold is roomy, and many models let you get to it in flight. Golf bags, skis and trade show cases generally fit with no trouble.
One all-inclusive price
Fuel, crew, positioning, landing fees and taxes are spelled out in the quote before you book. No hidden costs land on the invoice later.
WIFI on board
WIFI equipped aircraft can be booked so you can work in the air. Say so on the call and we will check it on the exact jet.
Pets welcome
Pets are allowed. Tell us how many and how big so we can check with the operator and plan space in the cabin.

Signs a super-midsize is the right fit

  • Your trip is coast to coast

From central Indiana to the West Coast is a long flight. A super-midsize usually makes it nonstop, where a light jet would stop for fuel.

  • You have seven to nine passengers

Midsize cabins get tight with a full group and their bags. This class gives everyone a real seat and room to move.

  • The team needs to work in the air

Executives who want to talk through a deal or review documents get a quiet cabin, a table and WIFI on equipped aircraft.

  • You are carrying a lot of luggage

Families heading out for a week, or a crew with sample cases, can run out of space in smaller jets. The bigger hold solves that.

  • Time is the tight part

When a missed meeting costs more than the flight, nonstop range and higher cruise speed are worth the higher hourly rate.

From first call to landing

  1. 1

    Call with the details

Share your destination, dates, number of passengers and what is coming along. We ask about pets and WIFI right away.

  2. 2

    We put the price together

We look at open aircraft and quote you all-inclusive, point to point. When a midsize or heavy jet suits the trip better, we tell you and show the price gap.

  3. 3

    You say yes

After you approve the aircraft and quote, we set the departure time and FBO and send what you need for flight day.

  4. 4

    Departure

These jets need longer runways than a turboprop, so you usually leave from a larger FBO in the Indianapolis area. Park, walk in and board, with no airline lines.

  5. 5

    The trip home

Book your return whenever it works for you. A one-way trip never carries round trip pricing, and there are no long term commitments.

What drives the cost

Time in the air matters most. Next are the costs that surround the flight. Each one appears in your quote so you can compare the full price, not only the hourly rate.

Hours in the air
Longer flights cost more. Still, flying straight through without a fuel stop can mean fewer total hours than a smaller jet on the same route.
Starting point of the jet
When a jet must fly in empty to reach you, those positioning hours may be in the price. We search for aircraft near your departure.
Waiting and overnights
A crew staying a day or two at your destination brings crew and parking costs. Two separate one-way flights can be the better deal.
Time of year
Fewer jets are open on busy holiday weekends. On cold winter mornings, de-icing before takeoff adds to the cost.
Fees and taxes
Federal excise tax, landing fees and FBO fees differ from airport to airport. They are built into the quote, never tacked on afterward.

Common super-midsize questions

Something not covered here? (317) 779-1697

What is the nonstop range of a super-midsize jet?

Most jets in this class cover about 3,000 nautical miles or more, enough for nearly any US trip and some longer ones. Passengers, bags, weather and runway all affect it, so we check the range for your specific trip.

How does it compare with a midsize jet?

It has greater range, taller headroom and a bigger baggage area. A midsize works well for two to three hour flights. Beyond that, a super-midsize often avoids a fuel stop and keeps a full cabin more comfortable.

Is the higher price over a midsize worth it?

That comes down to the route. On a short flight, usually no. On a long one, flying nonstop in fewer hours can make the totals close, and we will show both quotes next to each other.

Will I pay for the jet's empty flight home?

No. Pricing is point to point, so a one-way trip never gets round trip pricing. If an empty leg fits your plans, ask us about Empty Leg Flights.

Is our dog allowed?

Yes, pets are allowed. Mention it on the call so we can check with the operator and decide where your pet will sit.
