ServicesTurboprop Charter

Turboprop Charter from Greenfield

On a trip of a few hundred miles, a turboprop often costs less than a jet and arrives only a little later. We pick the aircraft for your route and group, then give you a single all-inclusive quote before you decide.

When a turboprop is the right aircraft

A turboprop is a jet engine that turns a propeller. Common charter models are pressurized, seat about six to eight passengers, and cruise a bit slower than a light jet. On a short leg that speed gap shrinks to minutes, not hours.

The real savings come from the hourly rate and from runways. Turboprops burn less fuel and can land at smaller airports a jet may skip. That can put you closer to the plant, the job site or the lake house, which saves the drive at the other end.

We look at the whole trip, not just the rate on paper. If your route is long enough that a light jet or midsize jet costs less in total hours and crew time, we tell you that plainly.

What comes with a turboprop charter

The right aircraft for your route

Before suggesting a plane, we look at the distance, the passengers, the luggage and the runways on both ends. You fly a turboprop sized for the trip, not the largest cabin available.

One price that covers it all

Flight time, fuel, crew, landing and FBO fees and taxes come as a single number. Nothing hidden is added once you land.

Priced point to point

Your bill covers the legs you take. A one-way flight is priced as one way, never as a round trip it does not need.

Pets and WiFi

Pets are allowed on our charters, so your dog can fly too. WIFI equipped aircraft can be booked, which is useful when you need to work on the way.

Help on flight day

Ahead of the flight, we go over the departure time, the FBO address and where to park. If anything changes, one call reaches someone who already knows your trip.

Signs a turboprop fits your trip

The trip is regional
Legs of a few hundred miles are where a turboprop makes the most sense. The time you give up versus a jet is small, and the cost difference is not.
The destination has a short runway
Some small airports are tight for jets. A turboprop can often land there, closer to where you actually need to be.
You have a small group and normal bags
Four to eight passengers with carry-ons and a few suitcases fit well. Golf bags or tool cases are fine too, though we ask about them up front so weight and space work out.
You want to fly out and back in one day
A morning departure from near Greenfield, a meeting, and a flight home by dinner is a common turboprop day. No hotel, no lost evening.
Airline connections would eat the day
When the airline route goes through a hub, a direct turboprop flight can turn a full day of travel into a couple of hours.

How a turboprop charter comes together

  1. 1

    You call with the trip

Tell us where, when, how many passengers and what you are bringing. Five minutes on the phone is usually enough.

  2. 2

    We price the options

We quote the turboprop and, when it makes sense, compare it with a light jet so you see the full cost of each. Then you pick.

  3. 3

    We confirm the details

Once you book, we lock in the aircraft, crew and departure FBO. You get the time to arrive, where to park and who to ask for.

  4. 4

    You fly

Arrive shortly before departure, walk out to the aircraft and go. No security lines and no gate changes.

What moves the cost of a turboprop flight

Turboprops usually carry a lower hourly rate than jets. Your final number depends on a few things we walk through on the call, and all of it lands in one all-inclusive quote.

Flight hours
Distance and wind set the hours flown. On longer legs, a faster jet can sometimes close the gap in total cost.
Positioning
If the aircraft has to fly in from elsewhere to pick you up, those hours count. An aircraft based nearby keeps this down.
Wait time and overnights
Holding the crew for a same-day return or an overnight adds crew costs. One-way trips avoid it with point to point pricing.
Airport and FBO fees
Landing and handling fees vary by field. Smaller airports are often less, which is one more reason turboprops can stretch your budget.
Season and demand
Holiday weekends and big event dates fill up fast. Booking early gives us more aircraft to choose from.

Questions about turboprop charter

Does a turboprop match a jet for safety and comfort?
Professional crews fly charter turboprops, and they are kept on tight maintenance schedules. Our cabins are pressurized and quiet enough for conversation. Flying lower, you may feel the weather a little more, but on short trips few passengers notice.
What is the range of a turboprop?
That varies with the model, the load and the wind. Regional flights suit it best. If your route stretches it, we will tell you and quote a light jet next to it.
Is a one-way flight possible?
Yes. With point to point pricing, a one-way flight is quoted as one way. If you are not flying back with us, you never pay round trip pricing.
Can you set up a flight at the last minute?
Yes. We answer at any hour and will search for an open aircraft. Last-minute trips rely on what is free nearby, so calling earlier gives you more choices.
Do I have to commit to more than one trip?
No. Nothing ties you in long term. Call, hear your quote by phone and book just the trip you need.
